A striking example of the pink sandstone from the Vosges. The rock is 664 meters high with the chapel dedicated to Pope Leo IX who is a child from Dabo. On the rock you have a great view over the valley. The crystal cutters welcome you downstairs. When visiting the rock you should definitely visit the houses under the rock.
This spectacular system is a boat lift of 45 meters, which gives skippers the possibility to bypass 17 locks. Also visit the glassworks next to the lift or experience sensational moments with a descent on the Alpine toboggan run.

Make a trip with an authentic steam locomotive and discover the natural richness of the Red Saar. The Woudspoorweg runs from Abreschviller over a stretch of over 12 kilometers to the sawmill of Haut fert de Grand Soldat.
The city of Phalsbourg was founded around 1570 as a fortress, hence the name. In 1622 French became property and in 1680 it was considerably strengthened by Vauban. Remains of the fortifications are the Porte de France and the Porte d'Allemagne, both richly decorated and worth a visit.
The bustling city of Saverne lies on the River Zorn and the Marne-Rhine Canal. In the city, the imposing red brick was built in the 18th century by Château de Rohan by Cardinal Rohan. This building now houses a museum dedicated to archeology, art and history.
On the way to Saverne you will come across the special Botanical Gardens that are more than worth a visit.
